Join us on Thursday, January 18, 2024 for "Death & Dying from a Veterinary Perspective," presented by Kjerstin Jacobs, DVM. Topics will include anticipatory grief and other important factors surrounding the loss of a beloved pet; euthanasia and counseling at-home pet deaths; and a veterinarian's perspective on a profession in crisis.

Kjerstin Jacobs DVM

Dr. Kjerstin Jacobs graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She is a general practice veterinarian who co-founded and recently sold Metropolitan Veterinary Center in downtown Chicago. Dr. Jacobs has strong interests in general and emergency surgery, oncology, geriatrics, and the veterinarian/client/patient relationship. Dr. Jacobs is also a Certified Death Midwife and a founding member of NACDM.
